Last weekend seminar of 2015 with Vishwaguruji in Strilky

11-13 December 2015, Strilky, Czech Republic

The year 2015 was rich with Yoga in Daily Life seminars in Europe – thanks to His Holiness Vishwaguru Maheshwaranandaji. The last event was in beautiful Strilky Ashram.

"In this time of the year let us be with those people who are alone and at least mentally we should say a prayer for them. If you can personally go and wish Merry Christmas to lonely elderly people or to children in hospital, that is a good and loving  deed. You can also celebrate Christmas while feeding birds or offer a selfless deed to someone else. You should surrender all actions, thoughts, feelings to the Lord and bring His light wherever you are in the world. That is the best celebration of Christmas.” Vishwaguruji began the seminar with these words of encouragement and inspiration.

The repeating and singing of God's name was the main topic for the whole seminar: "Meditation without mantra is like the body without a soul. The King of the mantras is personal guru mantra, and repeating of God's name has special effects when chanted with devotion." With these introductory words Vishwaguruji led the singing of God's name:

Vishwaguruji also beautifully explained about Guru Tattva: "The highest Tattva (reality or principle) in the Universe is Guru Tattva."

This is explained in the Sri Guru Stotram:

Om Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu Gurur Devo Maheshwara
Guru Sakshat Parabrahma tasmai Sri Gurave Namaha
 
Guru is Brahma, Guru is Vishnu, Gurudev is Shiva.
Guru is verily Parabrahma (highest God or reality). My salutations to that Gurudev.

Dhyana mulam Gurur Murti
Puja mulam Gurur Padam
Mantra mulam Gurur Vakyam
Moksha mulam Gurur Kripa
 
The root of meditation (dhyana) is the form of the Master;
The root of worship (puja) is the feet of the Master;
The root of mantra is the words of the Master;
The root of liberation (moksha) is the mercy of the Master.

Dhyana mulam Gurur Murti - meditate on the form of Gurudev. When you have found your Gurudev than your search as a spiritual aspirant is over.

Puja mulam Gurur Padam - the worship starts at the lotus feet of the Gurudev.

Mantra mulam Gurur Vakyam - the essence of the mantra is the word of the Master. All holy scriptures are Guru Vakyas. Follow those words.

Moksha mulam Gurur Kripa - freedom comes with the blessing of the Master. We do Guru Seva to gain that blessing.
