'Yoga and Health' seminar in Ukraine
From 18 - 21 of October 2018, Ukrainian yoga practitioners and disciples enjoyed a most anticipated event - a Weekend Yoga Seminar with Vishwaguruji.
In Kyiv, capital city of Ukraine, the first event was a public lecture at the Inveria Flow Space on the Thursday evening, 18 October, where Vishwaguruji gave some glimpes about how the Universe was created. He also explained how important it is to stay with one Master for the whole life and he then gave instructions for practicing meditation.
In the central Ukrainian city of Cherkasy, the Friday evening evening program began at Sri Alakhpuriji Ashram with children performing some advanced asanas. Vishwaguruji accented that children are the culture of tomorrow and it is therefore very important to educate them in a proper way.
On the following day, all participants practiced the Bari Khatu Pranam salutation together. Swamiji explained that in the village and ashram of Bari Khatu (in Rajasthan, India), the spiritual power of Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji and Sri Devpuriji is highly concentrated and that by practicing Bari Khatu Pranam, one is connected with the Sri Alakhpuriji Siddha Peeth Parampara (lineage).
During the seminar in Cherkasy, Vishwaguruji explained how important it is to keep in balance the five elements (tattvas) of our body (space, air, fire, water, earth), by eating organic vegetarian food, practicing pranayamas and by utlizing other techniques and lifestyle choices, in order to avoid cancer and other diseases.
The element of space, Akasha, which is both within the body and around the body, is the transmitter that helps to pass information, vibrations, matter, etc. but also all the viruses and bacteria.
Another key element for good health is Vayu tattva, air, which is also a transmitter of all kind of things.
Fire, Agni, is the source of light – emphasized Vishwaguruji. The positive aspect of it is the spiritual light that includes clarity and wisdom. There is another light that stems from the fire of rage and anger, but this originates from ignorance. That burning of anger kills the best qualities of one's consciousness and the environment as well. The word Agni is used in many contexts, ranging from the fire of digestion, the cooking fire in a home, the sacrificial fire in an altar, the fire of cremation, etc.
Jal, or water, is life. Where water exists, the possibility of life is present. The element with the highest percentage in the body is liquid water that also passes information.
Prithvi, the earth element, is responsible for creating structure in the body such as bones, muscles, hair, skin, teeth, etc.
On Sunday evening at the end of the seminar weekend, Vishwaguruji held a beautiful meditation leading participants to 'come into oneness with ourselves'.
